-Beauty Pageants, Basketball and Boxing. In America beauty pageants are are slowly slumping and fading out into oblivion with
major stations like ABS, NBC and Fox relegating it in a sideline but Filipinos remained faithful and a staunch supporters of
pageantry and Miss Universe for that matter. And with the country’s “beauty queens” raking in international accolade left and
right, The Philippines is as seasoned a candidate as a nation can get.
And with their annual pageant successes, came the moniker: Powerhouse of Beauty Pageants!
I chanced to see a pageant blogger who attached POWERHOUSE to Philippines in a different slant and flexure, something
that could not be said to the self proclaimed pretenders to the title like Thailand or Indonesia. Watch the video if you
agree with her.

So many pageant fans are attacking the Philippines ... yet national directors are looking for pinoy trainers and fashion designers.

That's the highest form of hypocrisy, isn't it?

USA has the most Miss Universe winners but no one cares about them in America. Katwiran Nila wala namang mangyayari sa kanila if a woman wins a crown. Anong pride meron dun?
Venezuela has the second most number of winners and it's a big deal because ganon lang din sila kababaw. It allows them to escape their problems but then, kahit madaming diyosa Doon e Wala namang gustong pumunta ng Venezuela. Wala namang naiambag sa estado ng bansa Nila ang pagka panalo kasi corrupt pa rin sila Gaya natin sa Pinas.
Latinas and Asians are fascinated about the Caucasian anesthetic kasi Yan ang sinet ng first world countries.

I've realized what's being hyped about by the TS is pageantry in general which is larger in scope than the average presentation of beauty of face, of form and substance. That pageants demand skillful organizational talent paired with a robust mix of flamboyance, opulence and image building that make these events grandiose or extravagant to a certain degree. That, the Philippines is never wanting in and hugely capable of never mind the constraints of an open budget often resulting to a scaling down, hence, the absence of flair in staging the event of such magnitude.

I can't read between the lines no matter how hard I keep trying. If you can scale down or level off with the words you're putting out, at least we would be at the same page and the line of communications are equated. Please don't get offended, we are just squaring things out.

Is that so? Did you ever learn professional ethics in school? No one seemed to be asking nor interested to find out. It's not quite decent telling people about how much your emolument package equates to in dollar or sterling units particularly in a public fora such as this. I didn't have to lecture you on this -- perhaps it's something that is not part of a Nursing school curricula. But because you volunteered the information, go ahead. Make your day.

You seemed to disrespect my profession which is nursing and the whole people employed as a nurse. In your statement before, you've said that we clean up butts and toilets. But you have wrong conceptions about it. I explained it to you that our clients clean up their own butt and if in case that we have to clean up a patients, it's because they are too critical and ill that they can't do it themselves. It's our own little way that in the midst of their sufferings, we are to help in a compassionate, respectful and dignified way specifically in that circumstance. In our day to day job, we never spread hate, negativity and toxicities because we were trained in nursing schools all kinds of loveliness. Just like the beauty queens, before they goes to the venues to compete, they would have to be trained with intelligence as well as personality development and all those loveliness months and sometimes years. If in case youre still doubtful, ask Venus and the rest of the women who competed to bring the continuous streak of the Philippines since 2010.

I already know about that esperasave. There's no absolute need for a lecture. Saddle your horses and stay grounded. Peeps who've been there, done what exactly, do not go around telling everyone in the fora what they've achieved in both their professional or personal life. One doesn't peddle nor boast his achievements unnecessarily particularly if no one seems interested nor wants to take notice. If you still don't get it, I don't find any thing wrong with people cleaning butts, peoples' homes and toilets. it's a job that needs done professionally or with technical expertise. Who says it doesn't deserve respect it is due? But to be candid, what I find off and irreconcilable is when someone starts telling everyone how much he's earning weekly or monthly because for me that leaves a bad taste and ill construed as something alienating. It's my personal take. We can agree to disagree.
