They had the shot with Mareeya and Fahsai.
During Mareeya’s time, they focused too much on her wardrobe that they forgot the girl. They forgot to enhance her walk and how she could be powerful in Q&A.
Fahsai on the other hand was so unlucky she got the hardest question during Top 5.
They should learn how to choose the right girl.
With Amanda, I knew since she was crowned as MUT that she would have a hard time entering Top 5.
And one thing I expected from Thai fans, they always think that they will have the same run as the Philippines. Whenever the Philippines would win, they expect that they would win the following year. This year, they thought that they would surely win on their 6th year on-going streak (like the Philippines with Pia winning on the 6th-year streak)
I’m afraid INDIA will get their 3rd crown soon first before Thailand.

Oohhhh, I don't know. I understand the frustration with of Thai pageant fans. Their girls are well supported, in terms of the wardrobe, the fan base and the team handling the girls.
I believe the Thai fans oversimplify the fact that if a girl is a halfie, grew up or studied abroad, can speak English and construct a coherent sentence, that she will hit a home run in The Super Bowl of world pageants, The Miss Universe.
What they don't see is, it takes a girl with a certain character, CHARACTER (overemphasis on that word), not a personality , to win Miss Universe.
Gloria (her sheer spunk and guts whenever she speaks) scored our 1st taste of the crown.
Margie (her royal, elegant bearing befitting a queen) and her stars aligned in Athens where she won our 2nd crown.
Pia (her never - say - die attitude and her 3 attempts to win Bb. Pilipinas - Universe) brought the crown back to PH through her controversial coronation.
Catriona (her share of defeat at Miss World, her autonomy from beauty camps and collaborative work with designers) gave us our 4th crown in 3 years. Even Jonas said that's virtually impossible. He was proven wrong.
Does the Thai queens have the same trials and tribulations as our 4 Miss Universe winnahs?
2017 : Mareeya has the education, the intelligence, the pedigree. What happened? She faltered at the Top 5 Q & A. The pressure got to her.
2018: Sophida is smart, speaks well, assertive. She was stopped in the Top 10 by the 2 Alpha Females, South Africa's Tamaryn Green & The Philippines' Catriona Gray.
2015: Aniporn has the shot to crack the Top 5, but donned a white gown, IN A SEA OF WHITE GOWNS, and bested by USA's Olivia Jordan & Dominican Republic's Clarissa Molina.
2019: Paweensuda reached the Top 5, but was eclipsed by the brighter girls like South Africa's Zozibini Tunzi & Mexico's Sofia Aragon.
2020: Amanda did a great job reaching the Top 10 but the narrative has changed this time. Telemundo whispered - Sorry Asians, your time is up. The Latinas are back in a vengeance.
Gloria Diaz has said that to be Miss Universe, the universe will align itself in your favor. It has to be the right girl, with the right set of judges, the right question, the right answer to the question ,at the right place and at the right time. Our Filipina queens did that 4 times in this lifetime. No easy feat.
My advice to our Thai brothers? One word.
Patience.
That everything will fall into place, this time , in your favor. It may take long, but it is well worth it.
I bear witness to 2 Filipina queens crowned in the past decade. Worth it.

Enough with the Filipino delusional propoganda. Everyone knows that Catriona's crown was fixed with MONEY. The only reason Rabiya made it into the finals this year was because of Filipino sponsorships. I think Thailand is here to stay for a few more years. I think it is over for the Philippines. You have flopped the last two pageants.

They might place here and there but most likely they will be clapping.

In regards with this, Philippines or shall I say Pinoys never get tired until we got our 3rd crown. Since Venus in 2010, we keep on supporting our reps up to this day. We have several runners up in previous years before getting the crown. And now, we have 2 Miss Universe crowns under IMG.
Thais should learn from Pinoys (never mind the trolls and toxic fans). Don't give up that easily.
Miss Universe is eyeing on Thailand since 2015. They placed year after year and I think Mareeya and Fahsai had the great shot, the closest, but, cliche this may be, the stars were not align on them.
Maybe this is not their time, yet.
I wanna see Thailand winning their 3rd Miss Universe crown. Thailand has the second best fan base, in my opinion.
We are neighbors. We need not to fight. We are Asians...
Pardon my English...

The Philippines got 2 crowns in the last five years. That already cemented the country's status as a powerhouse with 11 consecutive placements. You can be bitter all you want, but no other Asian and Non-Asian country has come close to what the Philippines has achieved in the last decade. And the fact the even during this edition of Miss Universe, fans from Vietnam, Puerto Rico and other countries are still interested in Miss Philippines and even going as far as requesting their candidates to show Rabiya during their Instagram live is very telling of this country's status as a powerhouse. However hard you try to twist things around, facts and statistics don't lie. Philippines is a powerhouse not only in Miss Universe but also in other pageants, both major and minor ones.

Actually you're wrong. I'm the original Ian Sebastin. Who would have gotten my password? Some of you are so delusional. Just look at my threads and responses from back then to now. You will see they're the same. I just got tired of the Philippines and became much more harsh with them.
And it says you joined in 2019. What would you know about Ian Sebastin from 2012? Ah, you must be using an alternick .

No other country has come close to what the Philippines has achieved in the last decade? Let me correct you on that. The USA and Venezuela have already done this long before the Philippines did it. Venezuela managed to win three crowns in seven years with a back to back placement. Venezuela also had longer than 11 consecutive placements. Much longer. They had 21 consecutive placements which includes two crowns and three first runner up placements. That is much better than the Philippines. The USA had 22 consecutive placements with three crowns and two first runner-up placements. Awww. I guess I just proved your delusional statement wrong. Looks like the Philippines needs another decade before they can boast about 21 or 22 consecutive placements. They also need to catch up to other nations like Puerto Rico in crown counts.
