Be brave enough to enjoy the journey of life. Ups, downs and everything in between. It makes you incredibly resilient, trust me on this. Miss Earth begins very soon and I am so excited for it. Especially because, I finally get to visit the Philippines, after wanting to for so long. This journey has made me see the world so differently; it shaped my personality in many ways.
I realised very early on in life that no matter how you look or dress, how you make people feel is more important. My words and intentions have really come from the heart, and I am so grateful that people see that. My journey this time has a very specific goal, for both my country and my advocacies, while showing the world my true authentic self.
To be very honest, I do not want a single cent of the winnings, if I were to ever be so blessed. It is bold to say, but it is the truth. Bringing fame to my country and getting the platform for my advocacies is all that I want and need. The people I have met and will meet are the winnings.
For my country, my advocacies and my team #RoadToMissEarth2022
Eco-Activity: Create awareness
By now, everyone knows that the use of plastic straws is really a no go. And I am proud to tell you that in Belgium, the use of them is even forbidden. But sadly I notice that some restaurants still use the plastic ones that they still have left in stock. They might think that there is nothing wrong with it and that it is just up until the stock is at it’s end.
Whenever I notice something like this, I will always take my responsibility. Being a Miss Earth is not just about wearing a beautiful crown or represent your country with a sash across your heart. It is about being a spokesperson in all circumstances. Whenever life gives you a difficult situation, don’t go it out of the way. But take on the conversation.
Take on that opportunity to spread awareness in order to restore our daily bad habits and create new sustainable one’s. Because that is what Miss Earth truly is all about.
Eco-Activity: The home of my fauna
The Bjeshkët e Nemuna National Park is a national park in western Kosovo. It's a natural area with gorgeous forests, high peaks, and breathtaking panoramas. The park was established to protect its ecosystems and biodiversity. It is inhabited by important species that are becoming rare in Southern Europe, amongst them the brown bear, grey wolf, golden eagle and my chosen fauna, the Balkan lynx.
The Balkan lynx is one of six recognized subspecies of the Eurasian lynx. It is one of the rarest cats in Europe and is classified as critically endangered.
Eco-Activity: Shooting in the nature
A wonderful shooting in the mountains of my beloved Albania. Immersed in the colors of nature, I always feel free to live and be able to express all my emotions through the camera. accompanied by a great teacher and professional like Fadil Berisha. everything seemed like in fairy tales. Miss Earth Albania 2022 loves her land.
Eco-Activity: Shopping secondhand via charities! - Activity (Charity shop picture)
The fashion industry is responsible for 10% of the world's greenhouse gas emissions and is a major contributor to climate breakdown and the ecological emergency.
By shopping second-hand via charity shops not only are you ensuring clothing is re-used and recycled but with each purchase you are also helping the people which that individual charity supports. The funds I donated at the Daisy Chain festival (a registered U.K. charity) goes to help families affected by autism and empowers this community to engage in holistic eco friendly activities.
Finally, Working in a career involving human rights I am acutely aware of the harms involved in the fast fashion industry predominantly against black and brown women & girls who are exploited by large companies and forced to work in harsh conditions for low wages across the globe. We need to eliminate the dangers of the fast fashion industry and rethink how we source our clothes
Eco-Activity: Guest Speaker at Lion’s Club Gala Event
Thank you Toronto’s Kapuso Lion’s Club for inviting me as a guest speaker to discuss environmental conservation and my advocacy of Eco-Therapy, the practice of being in nature to improve mental health. It is always an honour to see the Consul General in Toronto, Orontes V. Castro.
The goal of Lion’s Cub is to impact lives globally and encourage peace and humanitarian action. I’m grateful to be a part of this network of volunteers working together to make a difference. This international organization is a great place to develop leadership skills and put them into action.
Along with the 1.4 million members worldwide, it is a privilege to be able to build these international relationships and improve the world through kindness, in hopes of making a long lasting impact.
Eco-Activity: The menstrual cup and it’s environmental impact
On average, menstruating people have periods for 40 years of their lives. This means that during that time they consume intimate hygiene products such as tampons, feminine pads or menstrual cups. Tampons, pads and panty liners along with their packaging and individual wrapping generate more than 200,000 tonnes of waste per year, and they all contain plastic in fact, pads are around 90% plastic.
The average user throws away an astonishing 125 to 150kg of tampons, pads and applicators in their lifetime. Plastic waste ends up in a landfill or, even worse in the oceans, rivers and beaches. The time it takes for a tampon or pad to degrade in a landfill is centuries longer than the lifespan of the individual who used it – particularly when it’s wrapped in plastic.
Unlike disposable period products, the menstrual cup is reusable for years and it has a minimal impact on the environment compared to tampons and pads. The lifespan of the cup means potentially saving the environment for the packaging and material waste of more than 2400 pads or tampons per user. To put that into context, one menstrual cup will save the environment for one truckload of waste in 10 years for every single person who switches to a cup. The usage of menstrual cups in developing countries can eliminate period poverty and the stigmas of menstruation.

Hi there! If you’re referring to an inability to post any comments, it might have something to do with your newbie status. Others have complained about this before. Hopefully, one of the admins/moderators can help you when they read your post.
Looks like a spambot. There's a lot of something like this in mod panel. Might have accidentally approved.

Peeked into her IG Stories and saw that she is on a plane (not sure where she is going). Many are speculating that she's flying back to Venezuela in time for her official coronation in 2 days. Some are saying that its the other way around and that she is actually leaving Venezuela
I honestly don't know what to think anymore. Can't wait for this to be over.
I believe its really between Veronica and Nicole, but who knows? I can be wrong.

Eco-Activity: Eat vegetables
Each of my meals is indispensable for vegetables. Eating plenty of vegetables and fruits not only helps cleanse the intestinal tract but also helps the body regenerate strongly, boost immunity and resistance to fight disease. Besides, eating a lot of vegetables and fruits is also a measure to preserve youthful beauty.
Eco-Activity: Writing Eco-Educational Materials and Teaching the Teacher
Part of my advocacy, to implement more climate education into national curriculums and schools, is about empowering teachers to bring climate change into the classroom throughout all school subjects.
I have been writing this educational guide to:
1. Provide teachers the latest information on Climate Change
2. To inspire ways in which we can incorporate conversations and topics into lessons
3. Covering a range of topics that will give all ages a well rounded view of climate change; including climate injustice, governmental targets and climate anxiety discussions
I hope to one day have this guide finished and published.
color=#0040BF]Eco-Activity: Environmental Sensitization - Miss Earth Advocacy[/color]
Making the public aware of the different issues confronting our environment is the primary reason why I joined Miss Earth Nigeria.
With the responsibility that I have now, I need to make sure that the advocacy that the Miss Earth is fighting for will reach as many audiences as possible - regardless of the age, gender, ethnicity, etc; and so I am very appreciative to the TVC management, for inviting me to be a guest in the morning show, Wake Up Nigeria.
Eco-Activity: Care for animals
Nadeen Ayoub encourages everyone in the community to be close to animals and connect with them. When you connect to animals, you respect nature more because you see how much animals depend on nature to live. We as humans also depend on nature and are not much different than animals but sometimes the disconnection due to modern ways of living can make us forget how crucial it is for life. Animals humble us and re-connect us to Earth.
So many Palestinians have a passion of raising horses and so many Palestinian villages have horse ranches. Horses have a magical affect on people and spending time with them is a stress reliever.
Tens of thousands of families in East Jerusalem keep horses and there are many trainers and horse enthusiasts. There is a respect and love for the beautiful Palestinian Arabian horse. You can find horses in so many villages in the West Bank and Gaza. Jericho has a full-size racetrack, training fields and stalls for 97 horses.
When you visit Palestine, you will see how beautiful the horses are and become even closer to nature. And this is only one of the beautiful animals you can see!
Eco-Activity: Planting trees and bushes in the desert
To prevent desertification and help eco system we planted today some of the local trees and bushes. It’s also essential for wild species that lives there. As my chosen Fauna is Arabian Oryx it’s one of the ways to help them survive in the wild. By planting more of the trees and bushes in their habitat we providing wild animals with food and source of water.
Eco-Activity: Environmental signs in Kosovo
"Ju lutem mos hudhni mbeturina."
This phrase is written all over the national parks in Kosovo. It translates to “Please don't litter".
Throwing garbage has negative impacts for environment, wildlife and humans. This is why it is important to keep our surroundings clean.
Eco-Activity: Eco-Friendly hangouts
Today, I decided to become a more conscious consumer than myself yesterday.
We live in a fast world. There is an unending, exhausting push towards what is new, and what the latest new trend is. Inevitably, I see myself searching for the trendiest places to hang out with my friends in my trendiest fit. I wanted to step back for a moment today and ‘rethink’ about my own input into this fast-paced industry. Over the weekend, I invited my friends to participate in an eco-friendly activity hosted by the K-Green Foundation. They gave out free bamboo fiber straws and these adorable drawstring bags
K-Green Foundation is Korea’s first environmental specialized public utility foundation established in 2002. The foundation fights at the forefront against climate and environmental issues in collaboration with civil societies, the government, and companies to protect Asia’s environment. Their vision is to cultivate 1 million green leaders that will promote and study innovative measures to create a sustainable world by 2022 and finally, aims to work with 1,000 companies and institutions that align with K-Green Foundation’s objectives to protect the environment.
This week, K-Green Foundation organized a collaboration event with the Lotte Department called, ‘RE:EARTH.' From hosting plogging events to sustainable flea markets, these events aim to promote friendly and invite people to learn, consume, and experience green practices in the city.
Throughout the week, I will share a glimpse of these events, so stay tuned! Coming up soon will be RE:EARTH Plogging day!
What is a green conscious choice yomade over the weekend? Let me know
Eco-Activity: Donate clothes
By allowing your clothes to have a second life, you are supporting responsible consumption, which benefits the planet. The textile and fashion industry is the second most polluting, behind the oil industry. By donating clothes you collaborate to produce less polluting waste. When we donate clothes, we are taking steps to be happier, because we become more generous.
