Google Translate: “Hello, I am Mother Earth, and I want to tell you something that has me very worried. In these times I find myself sick and sad. My trees are cut down by the thousands and the flowers disappear. Without trees, the ground dries up, there is no shade to protect from the sun's rays and the animals and insects of the forests and jungles have nowhere to live ”, this is how Micheland begins, the adventures of the protective girl of Mother Earth, book by Michell Roxana Castellanos when we have the information.
This children's tale is the result of the concern of the Venezuelan model and former beauty queen Michell Roxana Castellanos for the care of the Earth, which, due to various factors caused by humanity, is in imminent danger.
The author recalls that she has had the care and love for nature for many years, since she was little, because she loved to play with the earth and climb all the trees; she also enjoyed venturing out and planting. A curious fact is that she was born on April 22, which is the day that Mother Earth is celebrated.
"Sometimes the issue of caring for the environment is not something as tedious as people say, with starting from home simply recycling or reusing I think it is enough to make a big change on our planet"

Writer and model“I would grab the seeds of all the fruits in my house and I would run to the patio, make holes and put water on them, it was like the theme that I really like living with nature, but there was no purpose of 'I'm going to do something for the environment ', because I did not have the knowledge that we were doing something that affected or harmed, I simply liked the green, the natural, I loved the plants, I liked to run, play, the breeze, the air and, above all, to feel free ”, confesses Castellanos, in an interview with Indigo Report.
In 2019, when Michell finished his second university degree, he went to Malta to study English and while there he received a call from the Miss Earth Venezuela organization telling him that they wanted him to participate in that edition, because they had followed up on him and knew that it was a ready girl; the next day she was already in Venezuela, she never doubted it.
“The answer 'no' never came to my head, it suited me because I had already finished my university degrees, so, they were at that time of free live, where I did not know what to do and it was an opportunity that came to me at the time and I said yes, "he talks.
Once crowned as Miss Earth Venezuela, she had the opportunity to travel to the Philippines, to the city of Manila, an experience that she describes as “super beautiful”. Although at the beginning she had the belief that beauty pageants were totally based on physical beauty, hairstyle, makeup or good walking, this opportunity she showed her another side of said pageants.
“We got up very early even though we had a two-hour difference with my country, and they put us on social work, they put us painting beaches, going to schools, we had to do a project about our country and what affected the environment and I remember that this was one of the issues that we should have as a shield and flag; We had to defend him every day, ”says the model.
During his stay in the Philippines, he obtained a lot of information, more than he had ever obtained in his entire life, in addition to the fact that the city of Manila, despite having “very beautiful and welcoming people”, is highly polluted, both with garbage and plastics.
Faced with such a panorama, Michell felt the need to do something, to bring to light what was happening, she had to express it, she thought, because one thing is to be told and quite another is to live it.
“At that time the idea of writing a book to help with the issue of awareness came to my mind, because sometimes those environmental problems come a lot from the lack of awareness of human beings and it was because of that idea that I began to write Micheland, a book that although it is aimed at children, its teaching and message is for all ages ”, says the author.
“For me it is very important that many children have environmental knowledge as something basic, it is not very difficult, but it is a very important issue. We are reaching very high limits of climate emergency "
