My review of last night's gala.
(Sorry for my English if I commit some grammar mistakes, I'm Chilean)
The winner (
Nord Pas Calais) tends to look older and skinnier, but I know that the Miss France Org will transform her. I like her, but I didn't like the way she spoke about Alicia's hair
(Come on, She could've easily said "Curly Haired" instead of "Lioness Mane"! ) She needs a lot of work especially on her face and that mounted tooth, she needs to soothe her features and a fresher style.
Eva (
Miss Corse) was my sentimental favorite. I know that she has big teeth, but that is something fixable. With the proper smile design, she will be ready for a Miss World competition!
Still don't get the hype with
Ile-De-France... she was a big downgrade for me. She looked stunning in the pictures before her arrival, but she ended up looking like a common girl.
Champagne-Ardenne was very pretty
(Am I the only one who thinks that she looks like Missandei from GOT?) and I was very pleased when I saw her in the Top 12 because I knew she had a weak sash; congratulations girl!
Reunion, the typical MF contestant... I knew she wasn't going to win it.
About the rest of the Top 12
-
Languedoc-Rousillon was the prettiest of the batch, but she looked too nervous during her speech. It was sad to see her out of the top 5
-
Limousin and
Aquitaine were two Barbie dolls!
-
Provence looked really beautiful and confident... I'm still surprised that she didn't make it.
-
Rhone-Alpes was a WTF placer for me, but she was fine.
-
Guyane and
Martinique could've easily been replaced by
Guadeloupe and
Alsace (Anyways, I loved how Alicia screamed "GUYAAAAAAANE!) Side Note:
Tahiti unplaced big time!
but she was plain-looking, so it didn't surprise me.
I didn't like that "group selection" thing, I think that's what eliminated Miss Guadeloupe from the competition.
I also don't like that 50/50 votes between the public and the jury. It should be 75% jury and 25% public.
Alicia looked stunning, I wish she would've looked like that during Miss Universe!! That was the hair!!!
And Iris' VS performance was amazing!! If she competed again, she would've won it laughing all the way... It was disappointing for me to see that Iris didn't receive any tribute for her victory at Miss Universe, I know that there was a documentary right after the pageant concluded, but still I think she deserved her moment on stage...
And that is! Of course, the production and the stage were just perfect and I loved Ed Sheeran's performance! Miss France never fails when it comes to production! ^-^
