He absolutely did - and it's ironic, because this year's Angolan representative was miles better and clapped. It's a shame, because the production value of this pageant and the ability to sustain itself without a network could really make it a good pageant. But Nawat's wildly unprofessional behavior, the shady business terms (how many girls have refused contracts by now?), and the emphasis on one-upping each other in antics really drag the pageant down.
As least the winners have been decent representatives, regardless of how fixed the pageant is.
