Pinoy nurse found dead in Riyadh; police suspect foul play
A Filipino oncology nurse at the King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Center in Riyadh has been found dead in his home after his disappearance was reported to the police.
Arab News on Monday reported that Allan Dultra, a graduate of Davao Doctors College, died of a stab wound to the neck.
The report quoted an anonymous source from the Philippine Embassy as saying that a Filipino expatriate was arrested on Sunday in connection with Dultra's murder. The report added that Dultra and the suspect had "grown apart" and had been involved in a fight in the victim's home.
Filipino news site Coolbuster.net is also reporting that Dultra's boyfriend and two other people have been linked by authorities to his death.
Coolbuster noted that the victim had been planning to go home to the Philippines before his birthday on April 4.
Dultra, 53, was a British passport holder who worked in the United Kingdom before transferring to Riyadh. According to Coolbuster, he owned a hotel in his hometown and was said to have been a "good provider" for his family. — Rie Takumi/BM, GMA News
