The beauty queens who are biracial should be called "biracial" or "mixed" and NOT black. By calling them black, you're denying their non-white side. Chelsi Smith always corrected people who called her black, as she was clearly biracial and she always acknowledged her white side.

With all due respect, I don't think I'm denying some of these women of their other ethnicity. Calling them black (even though biracial or mixed) doesn't devalue their other race/ethnicity. If you read the thread, I was careful with my words, making sure I used the proper term. In example I used African-American to describe Vanessa Williams. I mentioned woman of color to describe biracial queens like Nancy Neede, Shanealle Petty and Flora Coquerel. And also for these biracial queens, I made sure that I pointed out the ethnicities of their parents. And I think calling them is not incorrect, since all of them considered themselves black. Just look at their social media pages, they are proud to be black.

I was hoping also that someday Philippines would send its first Black Amerasian queen in the Miss Universe.
Miss Universe only and nothing else!

If they are proud to call themselves black, then they must really hate or do not acknowledge their white side, and thus rejecting their white parent who loves and cares for them just as much as their black parent.

Identifying that you are black, i think does not equate to rejecting or abandoning or denouncing your other race. I think it is really unfair to the ladies that you made an assumption that they hate the other side of them. I can not speak for them wether they do not acknowledge their other side. But here is what I know, Shanaelle Petty joined Miss Universe Croatia to honor her late Croatian mother. In her recent post in Instagram, Ariana Miyamoto she identified herself both as an Asian and black person. And if you look at the social media accounts of the other biracial queens like Nancy Neede, Lola Odusuga to name a few, you will see the love them have for they Caucasian parent and even grandparents.
Instagram post of Nancy Neede showing her appreciation to her white grandparents
Lola Odusoga posting this pic in her Twitter with a caption "My mom ♥️ #äitienpäivä"
