In other words, the show had C L A S S ! Alas, nowadays, Vice Ganda became the face of the show and the network. His flirtatious exchange with his boyfriend whilst delivering a litany of cheap antics before the audience became the norm. Have we really gone this low?

Slapstick programming like that feeds to the escapist nature of the marginalized Filipino.
The arrogance and intransigence of the owners did them in. Dura lex sed lex. The law is harsh but no one is above the law. The dreaded kingmaker is dealt with a heavy blow, they kneel on bended knees. Justice is served at last.

Why do I hold this ill-feeling that after this brouhaha is over, ABS-CBN will eventually go scot-free? What if they declare bunkruptcy eventually leaving the government with billions of bad debts? Their noisy artists are left hung in the air, and their responsibility to every one else across the breath and width of the network shall come to end. But the owners, with years of think-tank brains at their beck and call, will have found themselves unscathed, laughing all the way to the banks (located in overseas countries where tax havens reside!)
