MUO should be ashamed of Bb. Pilipinas Talent & MUP Red Carpet

Postby sephie » Fri Feb 14, 2020 9:17 am

Today marks a head to head challenge for the Filipino pageant fan.
MUP mounts their first pageant activity by presenting the official 52 candidates of this year's edition. Although it is reminiscent of the terno competition of Miss Universe 1994, I would say that they have added more gloss to the usual press presentation

On the other hand, pageant-institution Binibining Pilipinas upgrades their talent competition by having it in the New Frontier Theater. Incorporating the jeans fashion show to the talent competition gives it a more casual vibe

Seeing these two pocket competitions makes me reminiscent of the 2019 staging of the Miss Universe prepageant competition. It was a pale comparison and puts the global brand to shame. The stage quality was small and slippery, the venue felt so congested and uncomfortable and the program felt rushed and unplanned

What are your thoughts?

Hell, some of the bigger State pageants at Miss USA was as long as Miss Universe 2019.

Even Binibining Pilipinas 2019 was more exciting than lackluster Miss Universe in that tiny venue and boring city in Nowhere America. Time to take Miss Universe away from IMG!
