Also congratulations to Puerto Rico for the Top 40 placement.

As usual, the brigade of bitter fans is out on parade with their backhanded compliments because a black woman left their faves in the bin – what else is new?
The past few weeks have been magical! A black Miss South Africa wins Miss Universe (after eight years!) and now we have a black Miss world (after eighteen years of waiting!)... and let’s talk about the black girls dominating the top 5! It’s a great time on the continent since these are the only two pageants that matter here!
It was so refreshing to watch Nigeria go crazy on stage! She was all of us! One of us wins and we’re all winners!
Congratulations to my Jamaican family - Toni is a goddess!

WHAT HAPPENED TO THE RED FONT SASHES? THAT'S THE SIGNATURE SASH OF MISS WORLD

SAD THAT THE ANNOUNCER DID NOT SAY JAMAICA WHEN SHE ENTERED - MISTAKEN WITH NEPAL.

AND WALES WAS NEVER MENTIONED AND BLOCKED BY THE DANCERS AS SHE ENTERED - THAT'S SAD

Now I see why you spent so many years bashing Stephanie del Valle. You have a Miss World obsession. Your bedroom is probably a shrine to Miss World. =0

Believe me you'll grow to love the new Miss World, her charm is undeniable.

Not really!
Miss Universe is! And it’s complete!
MW on the other hand, I feel so lazy to complete the collage each year. Doesn’t give me excitement.
MI and ME collage are more interesting. Especially MI, coz winners there are always beautiful facially.

Have you heard about hard disk, dongles?
Why should I put them on the walls if I can put them in a stick smaller than my fingers?

Jamaica was in a lot of people's lists because the country has a great sash factor. Jamaica always scores high points in their interviews making them Miss World Caribbean consistently over the past decade or so. I think when it got down to the Top 5, it was anybody's game. No one can refute the fact that out of all the ladies, Jamaica have the best answer. Even the crowd was roaring throughout when she responded to her 2 questions. It was pretty obvious at that moment.

Congratulations, Jamaica!!! It was evident during the top 5 interview that she was going to take it all. Well-deserved victory and Nigeria's reaction was everything. Never saw anyone in any pageants to celebrate other's victory like her. :hx :hx :hx

Congratulations to my girl, India. Suman did everything she could to secure the highest placement. No complaints at all. After the top 5 interview, I knew she was going to be one of the runner-ups. She tried her best but her answers came out a little bit repetitive, in my opinion. To all my next Indian queens, whichever pageants they represent in 2020, it is a lesson to learn that they must sound genuine and concise. No need to stretch unnecessarily. There is a reason why Manushi won. She always came up with something new with her answers, no matter how simple the words were. Also, in my opinion, the Q&A was not a traditional Q&A. It was more like a conversation. If you go back to 1999 when Yukta won, that's how you carry a conversation. Short answers but extremely pleasant to watch. No need to put heavy words or contents. Just make it pleasant.

Overall, Suman set a great example of a wonderful team effort by the Femina organization and her own personal skills. No doubt girl is going places in life. Thank you for making us so proud.

This segment is worth celebrated out of a disorganized show, though. After several camera hiccups in the past, this year's contestants get their moment on stage. They should have done a Top 20 for second elimination, Top 12 to Top 5, cut out the musical.

Can’t Miss World not kill the thrill (if any) and just announce finalists in RANDOM order?!

The Top 12 and Top 5 was not at all random. If you are from Africa or the Americas, by the time the Asians are being announced, you already know you’re out. The Top 5 were announced in the order they were announced as Top 12.

Anyway, I think Jamaica deserves the title, although I found her over-confident in the Top 5 interview.

Can someone tell me how they choose the bwap award? Is it judged the way the candidate presented it and not the project itself? Seriously, there are far better projects than Nepal. I don't think her project is the most deserving.

Tunisia ended 62 year placement drought at Miss World 2019. The last time Tunisia placed was in 1957 where their delegate finished 3rd Runner Up to Finland.

Nigeria's answer was good but a little bit to past, she spoke as if someone is chasing her behind. I think she got overwhelmed or maybe to excited.

Brazil's answer were too obvious it was a rehearsed at the first part as she choked and stumbled on the next question as she was everywhere and loss focus which was way to simple to answer.

India's answer were great but seems not authentic although maybe true from her community that most Indian women are treated less, but i believe most Indian women now are more empowered and by being all over the world making their own path and chasing their dreams independently.

Jamaica's answered the questions authentically coming from the heart and not to impressed as if she was just talking to some stranger casually. She made a great impact when answered about her mother and parents which sealed the deal for her.

France's answer were too simple lack impact i guess...but second runner up was great achievement.

If i were to rank them it should have been:

Miss World - Jamaica
1st RU - India
2nd RU - Nigeria

who would predict someone who doesn't have a superior beauty!!common dude let's be honest!!!It's not about her being black--France, India, and Brazil are miles prettier than her!!!like seriously..Nigeria and her shouldn't be in the top 12!!

what's going on with this cooking show pageant

Miss World isn't looking for superior beauty. Cutesy-type of beauty is enough. More than beauty, MW wants a woman of kindness, substance, and big heart for public service, I guess. Toni-Ann looks sweet, kind/nice, and down-to-earth. That won her the crown. But, yeah, the women often sent by Jamaica in Miss Universe are way sexier and more facially beautiful.

However, let's give Toni her due. She won the pageant, cooked by Julia or not. There must be something in her that endeared her to Julia. And we don't own the pageant, so unless we unsubscribe to it, we have to face Julia's politics. :)>-

That was smoooth. A bit passive aggressive with subtle shade but smooth. Listen.. OBVIOUSLY both Pageant franchises have different blueprints and clearly MW is more for a well rounded, multi-faceted lady that can do many thinks (almost a jack of all trades). Miss Universe use to be about the sultry fierceness.. but even the franchise are moving away from that criteria and are now trying to bring women out of an era that objectifies them solely by their outer appearance. It's still a business, and if you are not capable of connecting and captivate an audience.. you're wasting their time! Get with the program and stop criticizing these wonderful ladies. They are all beautiful and charming.

As it pertains to Jamaica, yes the Miss Universe beauty are usually much different from their MW beauty. It makes sense.. the franchises have different criteria! I saw someone said if Toni went to Miss Universe she would clap. Obviously she and the franchise knew that is not the right pageant for her, and she would NEVER go to Miss Universe.

It's just that even if her song performance had been pre-planned, they should have changed the plan because giving extra air-time to one finalist can and does influence the judges. She might have won anyway, but now there will always be some doubts about it.

Congrats to Suman. She was radiant and beautiful, and a top 3 finish is an amazing achievement. There were moments when I thought she'd take it all, but eventually another girl with Indian blood did!

Maybe the lesson here is to win the talent competition so that you get extra exposure.

These complaints are absurd. it’s not like they crown the winner of talent every year

True. It just so happened that she was the talent winner, and the judges adored her more because of that. She would've still won anyway even if she wasn't the talent winner. She had it in the bag from the middle, thanks primarily to Julia.

Having said that, I still think Zozibini is way more regal and intelligent than Toni-Ann. Toni-ann was cuter, but Zozibini rocks the stage, has more stage presence, is more composed, and is a far better speaker for mankind. Just saying. :)>- :)>- :)>-

Why are you comparing two black woman against each other ? They’re in two different pageants I don’t see people comparing the white and Asians basics ... let the women have their moments. We the blacks are enjoying the moment we’ve have been robbed so many times over the years. Now that we are shining and now on trend I will not let anyone steal our joy. Had miss France won or Nigeria won it would have been the same bashing. Y’all would have said Nigeria’s hair looks a mess or she acts too ghetto.Had France won people would say that she is pretty but boring and dull doesn’t speak good English. When basics non blacks win it’s ok but when black women wins it’s always something.

I'm comparing two winners of the MOST POPULAR and BIGGEST pageants on earth! It was you who put the race card on the statement. It was you who said a lot of things about Nigeria and France. I never thought of about these ideas on Nigeria and France until you blurted them out. Asian and Caucasian beauties were also bashed in the past, just so you know! Bashing is always there, and Miss Jamaica has not even got the worse. Enjoy your victory without being so defensive. Did I say she's not beautiful or not intelligent? I just want to say that between the winners of the TWO MOST FOLLOWED PAGEANTS in the whole world, one was better in terms of this and that; I didn't say the other was bad.

You gave backhanded compliments like we’re stupid.
Anyways black magic is on trend is on trend don’t be bitter bask in the glow of black girl magic
And the new miss France is another black woman . We are taking over baby

You are putting words into my mouth, stupid! I'm happy for Zozi. I'm happy for Thailand winning MI and MS. I'm happy for Miss World France as a runner-up (though she was my bet to win, and India too, either of them I hoped to win). I would've loved it if Miss Iceland Universe was a runner-up. I may not find Toni dazzling, but I said she has the quality that made her endearing to Julia and the other judges of MW. I also said she's cute, but I don't find her gorgeous. To each his own. I didn't even say she's ugly. I never said she didn't deserve the crown. So stop acting as if your crown was stolen, when your girl already won.

ALTHOUGH I LIKE THE WINNER (SHE IS SWEET AND BEAUTIFUL), I FEEL SHOCKED ABOUT VENEZUELA.

MISS WORLD SHOULD STOP HATE THIS COUNTRY.
1. OSMEL IS GONE
2. ISABELLA WAS THE BEST VENEZUELAN CANDIDATE SINCE 2011
3. SHE WAS THE MAIN WINNER OF MISS VENEZUELA AND NOT AN APPOINTMENT OR A 2nd PLACE
4. SHE WORKED HARD
5. SHE WAS FLAWLESS AND ELOQUENT, WITH A GREAT ORATORIA AND INTELLIGECE, SO GENUINE
6. SHE WAS ONE OF THE WINNER OF BWAP AWARD

5. SHE WAS FLAWLESS AND ELOQUENT, WITH A GREAT ORATORIA AND INTELLIGECE, SO GENUINE
6. SHE WAS ONE OF THE WINNER OF BWAP AWARD

AND ONLY A TOP40? f**k YOU JULIA

IT IS BECAUSE BRAZIL AND MEXICO WERE THE BEST IN AMERICA'S THAT'S WHY VENEZUELA DIDN'T ADVANCE TO THE TOP 12.

I think the real issue is Latin countries like Brazil and especially Mexico are taking this pageant seriously. Mexico has been doing extremely well during the national competition. They do a lot of groundwork before entering the big pageant season. The results are showing. I think Mexico will soon become a MW latin powerhouse. Bcoz they are serious about MW victory. Then Brazil also took an effort this year. When other countries work hard for placement, you cant simply milk the idea of being a powerhouse. See India has a whopping 6 MW crowns, does that stop from working hard for another one? No. If you watch the amount of preparation and hardwork done by Femina, you will see it. The result is consistent placements and a recent crown. This year another high placement and a continental title, but that doesnt stop us. We are doing double the effort to win another crown.
So, just basking in the glory of powerhouse status wont help any country nowadays, its more of dedication. Osmel's presence, or being the main winner, or even a BWAP finalist wont fetch the crown, the main cause is the competition is now getting harder in Latin american region. If Venezuela dont step the their game soon, other countries like Mexico or Brazil might take over.

and other thing, MWO seems to know who all loves their pageant honestly and who all dont. LOl just kidding... =;)) =;)) =;)) =;))

True. When India was called, I immediately knew Philippines and Vietnam were out. They need to get rid of the continental groupings and stop calling the girls in alphabetical order.
