Welcome to my first Miss Earth Hotpicks
Top 16
Bolivia: Fernanda Castedo She is my “Sentimental Favorite” this year. Although she was just appointed by the Org I can see her sincere joy participating in Miss Earth. With a degree of environmental engineering and the skill to express herself in English, snatching one of the spots is not impossible.
Vietnam: Hoang Thi Hanh. At first, I was astonished by her beauty. She was included in my top 10; unfortunately, I found out that she lacks energy and determination to live what Phoung Khan started. I hope she finds her own favor, styling, and makeup.
Guam: Cydney Folsom. Her eloquence and beautiful face is her biggest asset. Plus, I can tell that she was really prepared and she brings tons of ammo and surprises. I was not a big fan of her, but when I saw her speak I know the org will love her.
Portugal: Bruna Silva. Angelic face + Youthful Aura. I agree with some of the forumers that she has a big shoe to fill in after Thelma cracks the Top 8 last year. Overall, I cannot say that she is a downgrade in term of beauty, English proficiency is another story. But her long preparation helped her to prepare in the pageant.
Denmark: Sara Langtved. Before we knew who Denmark’s representative is, Europe is giving us face in this completion. And in the very last minute Sara suddenly show up adding to my headache. I just can’t ignore her beauty.
Belarus: Alisa Manenok. To be honest, for me she is so Miss International. This cute beautiful Barbie from Europe is eager to represent her country. With a great pageant experience we know that it’s an easy piece for her to compete whenever she enters the first cut. My only concern is the language barrier that might block her on the way to Top 8.
Top 12
Belgium: Caro Van Corp. If the legend is true that every year there is one first time in the semis, then I really hope, and pray, and beg! That is was Caro. She is not my cup of tea but she is definitely worth it for a spot in the top 12. I was exhilarated by her so “FIRST WORLD” eco-video.
Nigeria: Susan Garland. The most favorite girl from African Region. Even in her National pageant she is the clear winner. I find her face very editorial, marketable, and Unique. I hope she will do well in the pageant since she is being trained by a Filipino Pageant trainers. She is also an environmental Biology student.
Slovak Repulic: Stanislava Luckova. If I will describe her, Demigoddess is the closest word. Her body, her beauty, her sex appeal screams very Miss Universe level. I hope this aspect will not be a disadvantage.
Nepal: Riya Basnet. For me, she was the best among Nepalese queen for this year. Just like Priya, I am confused about how I will rank her. She might not get this year’s Eco Video, but she has an edge (with Ghana & Colombia) in Social media Award. With the support of her countrymen who’s pond in Miss Earth, I am sure she will deliver.
Top 8
Spain: Sonia Hernandez. For me, she was the biggest surprise (after Miss Earth Spain spoils us to the core). It is worth the wait. Originally, she is “IN” in my Elemental Spot, but her recent pic does not impress me. I hope she will consider to use an interpreter.
Venezuela: Michelle Castellanos. A complete package Venezuelan Las. We know the magic that Venezuela can give us. Despite of the controversy she maintains her cool and composure that makes her more competitive. I can see that she wants to prove her detractors wrong.
USA: Emaniii Davis. Is it possible to squeeze her in the top 4? If possible then I will do so, but the competition is very strong. The reason why I put her out in my top is that she has strong competitors. But because of her pageant experience and that thing between her ears, I would not be surprised if she bags one of the crowns.
Colombia: Yenny Carillo. If Colombia manage to make a triple-peat in the top 5 in Miss Universe, it is not impossible for Yenny to make it happen this year for Miss Earth. She was divine, intelligent and has a true passion for the environment. But for now she will settle on my Fifth spot since she is lacking for something that her predecessors already have on the very first day of their respective pageant year.
FIRE
Czech Republic: Klara Skova. The face of Miss Earth. Not just a pretty face but a very memorable face indulge with grace, freshness, and the “fairest of them all” factor. My only set back is her language barrier to express or understand the English language. I hope they will provide a good interpreter. If she won, I will very very happy not just for her but for the Miss Earth Organization for a whole year FREE OF BASHING.
WATER
Ghana: Abena Appiah. Talented, intelligent, beautiful, and humble person. With a great pageant experience and strong environmental advocacy, it is impossible for me to not to notice and mention her name for the Top 4 position. I love her since she landed in the Philippines, she seems kind and very friendly plus she can be a good speaker and motivator.
AIR
Puerto Rico: Nellys Pimentel. I have a lot to say about this lady. She is a complete package for the crown. Her height, complexion, face and intellectual quality and the way she speaks (sense of Humor). I really like her because she is so polished. She never fails to perform and make sure that no stone left unturned; I just want her to conserve her energy so she will maintain her momentum until the very last end of the competition. Plus don’t let your element of surprise devour. I want her to use her best weapon in due course, when she needed the most.
EARTH
India: Tejaswini Manogna. The most accomplished woman of this edition, credential wise. From my TOP12 all the way to my TOP list she went straight effortlessly. I was never been amazed before but she did. From a simple lady, she becomes a goddess of beauty when glam up. For me, she is the strongest delegate as of the moment. Even in silence, her presence is just so strong. India is very serious this time that they are sending the most desirable girl to Miss Earth.
