I have a feeling it will be Shefali Sood, she was previously seen and posted via her own insta being at the TOI guesthouse and she was also present during Nepal Chudasma’s Birthday celebrations at Natasha Grover’s apartment, alongside all the current Miss India winners.
I don’t mind if it’s Shefali, she’s a stunning girl and a decent speaker I’m surprised she didn’t make the top 5 last year but she does need to work on her body, that’s the only thing really holding her back slightly otherwise she has the potential.

Personally, I’m not opposed to handpicked delegates but considering how much noise other national pageants in Asia are making, I don’t think it’s smart for India to handpick someone. My concern is that it might send the wrong signal to the MUO. Considering how unlikely Julia will let India win again this soon, it would have been smart for the org to have focused its energy on Miss Universe this year.

They will hold next year's pageant earlier than Miss World India and hopefully, will crown Miss Universe India 2020 within February. That will give ample amount of time for next year's representative. India has been trying very hard to do well in Miss Universe but the timing conflicts with World India has always been in issue. That's why this year's handpicking decision is kinda damage control.
Personally, I won't mind if India claps this year. My entire attention is for next year. Like other powerhouse countries who train their girls for months, India must follow that route and present a very well prepared girl for the biggest pageant in the world.
and guys, trust me, India is serious about Miss Universe. Support India to gain its glory back.
