Today's morning ab check, with my @halfcutorg braids in place, and I'm trying not to laugh because @lyndontroost was laughing at me squeezing everything as hard as I could while trying not to let my face look stressed. I've been working super hard in the lead up for @miss_earth_australia and am hoping to show you can be vegan and strong for the animals, and the planet! Online voting for People's Choice is still open! Click the link in my bio.
*I've been following @naturallystefanie and her program for the past year, she has an amazing vegan food guide too.
Necklace which I love and have posted a million times from @velvetyethical (sorry for the spam)
Wow, what an adventure! Pictured on the left, I first competed in @missworldaustralia back in 2010, in the National Final. I represented South Australia at MWA nationally again in 2014, and have since competed three times in the @missuniverseaustralia.official state finals as pictured most recently on the right, March 2019! And now to top it off, if you hadn't worked it out yet, I am very excited to be representing South Australia at the Miss Earth Australia National Finals in Sydney this year, from the 6th-8th of September!
I am glad to have found MEA as their mission really resonates with me. I have always been quite environmentally conscious, and passionate about the protection of flora and fauna, so to have such a huge platform to raise awareness, is a magnificent thing. Thank you to all of these pageants for having me and see you soon @miss_earth_australia. These competitions have helped me grow hugely over the last 9-10 years. The biggest differences in these pictures are my confidence, and the quality of the photo.
To all the coffee lovers out there!!
Did you know that 7eleven are giving away FREE coffees to customers who bring a reusable cup!!
Each year 30 million plastic toothbrushes go to landfill in Australia alone. Next time you need to buy a new toothbrush think about a more environmentally friendly option - bamboo toothbrush now available in most chemists and supermarkets. #missearthaustralia2019 #bamboo #sustainable #savetheearth #bambootoothbrush
Bag for good . Say no to plastic bags. Bring your own reusable bag when you go shopping.

Back for another planting session with the Bandicoot Bushcarers and Miss Earth Australia organisation! Even the wonderful Little Miss Earth @karelinajewel gave up her morning to join us. This was my third time back at the inner west Greenway. I love seeing so many familiar faces and the continual effort put into maintaining this green space. This post goes out to people that spend their valuable time educating, appreciating and working for the earth around them, thanks to the Inner West Environment Group for hosting us again.
I now take a reusable bag with me whenever I go for walks around my local park - I pick up litter as I go, particularly near the creek where the ducks and a lot of birdlife tend to frequent. I like to hope my small contribution is making a difference. People might look at me a little funny, but I’m hoping it’s because theyre taking a second to think about their own actions. Maybe they’re thinking about doing the same thing some day or maybe they’ll remember it before throwing their trash on the ground for others to take responsibility for.
I’ve tried my best but honestly #plasticfreejuly has been a challenge. In times where I haven’t been able to come up with an alternative to plastic I’ve spent a lot of time thinking about how I can reduce the amount of plastic I send to landfill. I often wear contact lenses because I’m not a good candidate for lasik and due to my lifestyle, I can’t always wear my glasses. I’ve always felt guilty just throwing them out after wearing - so I did a bit of research. And there is a pretty good solution!
The Terracycle/Bausch + Lomb Recycling Programme allows those who wear contacts to collect their used lenses + packaging to be sent for free or dropped off at certain locations where they can be broken down and remolded into new products ☺️ they also donate $1 per kilo of waste collected to the Optometry Giving Sight Foundation!
If you want to know more and do your part to help in reducing plastic waste, please tell your friends and check out www.terracycle.com/bauschrecycling
You know what? I’m really not enjoying winter at all... I’m missing being a happy little lizard that can just lay on the sand or a rock and draw all the energy I need from the sun... hurry up spring!!
I am extremely proud of all the candidates of Little Miss, Junior and Teen Earth Australia for their performance throughout their Miss Earth journey. Attending environmental activities definitely made it more fun with their presence and i was overjoyed seeing them all last night on stage!
To be honest, i had always been hesitant with the idea of young girls joining beauty pageants because simply, i just want them to be kids. But i have witnessed with Miss Earth Australia that embarking on this journey was beyond beauty and glamour. It was also about instilling in them environmental values, strengthening how they relate with others and building on their self esteem.
This is the first year that Miss Earth Australia hosted such event and I would like to congratulate Tita Maria James, Tita Juliet Custodio, Jas Lim and the whole MEA family for a successful and purposeful beauty pageant.
Ofcourse congratulations to all the candidates but more importantly the *PARENTS* who all worked so hard for this! I have met a lot of the loving mums and i admire them so much for having the initiative to let their daughters join this competition, for widening their perspective and opening a lot of opportunities for them. I know this has been said a lot of times, but true enough everyone is a winner. I hope that we remind each other that not having a crown or a title never defines our capabilities. As i’ve learned through the years, it is not always about winning but it is what you make out of an opportunity. I know this life changing experience will not only be an advantage as they grow up but will also influence their decisions on life and how they care for and impact our environment. Congratulations to all our #beautiesforacause!
Excited to be heading to Sydney, Australia for the Miss Earth Australia National Final @miss_earth_australia Proud to be representing my beautiful state Western Australia.
Did you know that one of the easiest ways to offset carbon emissions is to simply plant trees? When trees grow they absorb and store carbon dioxide(CO2) in their trunks, branches and leaves and then release oxygen back into the atmosphere (in the process know as photosynthesis). In urban environments trees also absorb pollutant gasses such as carbon monoxide, sulfur dioxide, nitrogen oxides and sweep up particles like dust and smoke.
Every day in Australia, approximately 2.7million disposable coffee cups are used and 92% of these go into landfill. By making one small change of purchasing a reusable coffee cup, you can help decrease this waste. So next time you order a coffee, rethink your drink.
4 DAYS TO GO
Before a pageant, I ALWAYS need a hair refresh, especially since I know how much heat and product is going to go into it over the next few days
I’ve been a loyal @royalshair girl since 2014 and even more loyal to @jess_royalshair since October 2015, I’ve followed her to every salon she’s worked at!
6 DAYS TO GO.
I used to be so scared of the idea of laser hair removal due to getting laser on my face to correct my acne scarring back in 2016. I had the worst reaction and aftercare and so it put me off the idea.
Who else loves bloopers?? I do they’re pretty much the reason why I still buy DVD’s instead of just downloading movies. A couple of weeks ago, I had the pleasure of filming my showreel with @jjspliceshowreels . It was such an amazing experience and working with Timothy and Dean was an absolute dream! If you’re an actor in Sydney, or willing to make the trip, definitely get in touch! Wearing a Filipino Teton made by @marlonjay_victa
Love the world you live in
Walking into the new week like ‘sup

Handsama wrote:As an Earthling, I am so embarrassed by the behavior of some purported or pretend Earth fans who attacked the ND and the org like a pack of rabid dogs that the following statement has to be released. I just can’t with these arrogant, idiotic, ugly monsters.
One might disagree with the outcome of a pageant without having to resort to the level of ugliness shown by these nincompoops. What’s worse...they were quick to make accusations without even bothering to watch the video of the pageant because if they did, they’ll realize that their favorites can’t even come up with a decent walk. At least, the winner knows how to strut.
Anyways...moving on...
