Now, MWO is quick to announce that they will be having No-Make-up round this year!
As if announcing it first will make them look better

Funny how Piers Morgan fried Julia!
I could see Julia being defensive there

Hahaha agree they don't want to call it a beauty pageant but a festival of beauty WTF!!
They lose viewers by eradicating the swimsuit round and its entertaiment value that's why
And yet she is insisting that the viewers will increase because of this fucking festival

Well, it’s not even a competition anymore. Coz they already planned the winners, 1 or 2 years in advance!

That's a terrible way to answer that. She should've made it about the women themselves & their choice and said some women are not comfortable with the idea. That's the reason I always thought beach beauty was cancelled. She's not the greatest spokesperson for her own organization if she can't even defend why bikinis are no longer at MW. Julia must've been nervous, but Vanessa definitely handled that host better.

Well, it's pure British humor my friend. No one's being defensive and no one's humiliating who or what not. I enjoyed the clip and Vanessa just proved why she was Miss World and I can't be more vindicated than ever for putting her to be Missosology's No.1 choice in our final hot pick last year!

IT WAS ALWAYS ABOUT THE CONSERVATIVES COUNTRIES NOT ACCEPTING IT. 95% OF MW CONTESTANTS DONT MIND. THEY MADE THE BIKINI ROUND A SIDE SHOW FOR YEARS BEFORE SCRAPING IT ALL TOGETHER. MANY COUNTRIES (IN AFRICA AND ASIA) DONT HAVE THE BIKINI ROUND AS A PART OF THEIR NATIONAL FINALS.
WHAT I HATE ABOUT MAINSTREAM MEDIA INTERVIEWS ABOUT PAGEANTS IS THAT THEY ALWAYS ASK THE SAME CLICHE QUESTIONS AND ALREADY HAVE A BIAS STANCE.
I HOPE PIERCE ACTUALLY GETS TO BE A JUDGE TO SEE FAR BEYOND LOOKS.

True. And Julia has to make it sound like humour to defend her TV Show, even if she was already offended.
I have no problem about Vanessa, and I also agree with what she said that MW is not about beauty anymore. Their main criteria is INTERVIEW with some chef’s ingredients. That is the reason why it’s no longer a beauty pageant but a TV Show, a TV sitcom, to be more precise, that comes once a year on TV and viewers will just simply doze in slumber.

Miss World's her bread and butter. And her BWAP is doing a lot to help hundreds and thousands, or perhaps, millions of people around the world. She would defend it tooth and nail! I know that Miss World does not really have a real judging going on during the finals, but I know for the fact that the judging happens during the three or four-week stay. That's where and how they choose their winner. It's not during the show - which is basically just a presentation ceremony - it is during those crucial weeks where the girls' attitude and real persona are put into test.
