Celebrating British icons
The Miss World Organisation, led by Julia Morley, Chairman and CEO, has today announced that British icon Lulu and pop idol Peter Andre are set to perform at this year’s 69th Miss World final taking place on Saturday 14 December at ExCeL London.
Lulu - one of Britain's most celebrated singers, with an internationally renowned voice - will be closing the highly anticipated Miss World final show performing ‘Shout’. Andre, also named as one of the presenters, is set to get among this year’s contestants with his performance of ‘Mysterious Girl’.

Peter commented: “I feel very excited to be hosting and performing at this year’s Miss World Final that will be watched by so many people around the globe, not only that but to bring the importance of what their charity ‘Beauty With A Purpose’ offers to those in need around the world.”

120 incredible women from all over the world will be arriving in London this week (Wednesday 20 November) for the three-week festival. Each contestant will then compete in a series of fast track events that guarantee a place in the top 40. These include Multimedia, Sport, Talent, Top model, Head to Head Challenge and Beauty With A Purpose, taking them on a journey across some of the London’s most iconic landmarks taking in its rich culture and heritage.
Julia added: “We are all so excited to be back in London, it’s the best city in the world. Without giving too much away, we will be celebrating British ‘icons’ at this year’s final, and there is no one more iconic than Lulu. And with Peter performing his legendary song, it’s going to be spectacular. We’re ready for London, I hope London is ready for us.”
Celebrating this year’s British ‘Icons’ theme, Zandra Rhodes has been named as a judge to select the Top Model, with an announcement about judges to follow.
The final show will be broadcast in the UK on London Live and globally to more than 150 countries where viewers will watch the reigning Miss World, Vanessa Ponce de León, pass the famous blue crown to the 69th Miss World.
