This is a list of events generated by the Simulator but displayed in a narrative way by me for you to enjoy it. That means this events may affect the contestant's score positively or negatively based on how good or bad the event is.

The girls arrived to Panama City on Monday, and have been competing since then. But you know, it's 2003 and Internet is not so fast so it takes some time for the information to travel all around world, but now we have the first official rumours, facts and information from within the competition. You know that not everything is as it looks like, and sometimes we're missing some important information which can affect our favorite's options of winning the crown. The press and the panamanian fans have been following the girls 24/7 and we already have the first list of relevant information you all should know. Ready?

Remember, this events are just about the first two days of competition. The Preliminary Competition is not taken into consideration.

ImageImage

 There are five girls who were previously considered as pre-favorites but who didn't really stood up during their arrivals. Those girls are Israel, Turkey, Trinidad & Tobago, Czech Republic and Peru. All of them looked good but not as good as was expected as some looked really exhausted from their flights.

Image

[-X :!: If there is a big dissappointment between the fans that's the local girl. It seems Panama wasn't really playing hard during first day and some people thought she looked much better during the national competition.

ImageImage

(*) Althought most of the favorites stood out during the first hours of competition there were two new girls who caught the attention. They are Spain and Colombia, as both looked stunning and with so much attitude during their arrival and are now consider as strong competitors for the press and fans.

ImageImage

 Some girls really need to take care of their attitude. In one side Italy has been accused of being too pageant patty and is trying too hard meanwhile others are accused of being kinda bitchy. At the time only China has been oficially named by the press and fans as "the bitch" of the season, although some people still think she's a funny bitch. But people from the Organization states she's not the only one having a little bit of an attitude problem... Who will those girls be...?

Image

~X( Venezuela caused a terrible first impression after being more than 24 hours late! Although it was not the delegate's fault there are rumours that the Organization is seriously thinking of penalizing her and the Miss Venezuela Organization for lack of interest. Still, the press gathered in Panama City feel Mariangel is doing her best to improve that perception.

Image

8-> In a positive note we should highlight Serbia & Montenegro as she had a great attitude during the first days of competition. The press say she's always smiling and seems to be having so much fun. She's already one of the press' favorites.

ImageImage

:D/ Other girls who surprised the fans were Ecuador and Nicaragua. Both of them looked good in their arrival and may give a run for their money to the so called frontrunners from America.

Image

:-/ Many people think Hungary looked angry during the Welcome Dinner but no one knows the reason, meanwhile Jamaica was praised for being very nice with the panamanian fans.

With all this information we can realize that not everything is as it looks like and that there's much more going on in the Miss Universe Competition. After the first 48 hours of competition, once they all took their Swimsuit Photos by the Swimming Pool the press already dare to share a list of first favorites to the title. Be ready because maybe there are some surprises!

We remind you this list doesn't represent the actual result but the girls who, at first, caught the attention of the Simulator and could make it. It's just a prediction list made by the Simulator which will change in the future. It's not taking into consideration the Preliminary Competition, just the initial scores.

Image
Image

It's no surprise to see Serbia & Montenegro leading this first favorite's list as she was a big pre-arrival favorite and now exceeded the expectations with her attitude. Japan and South Africa look closely in 2nd and 3rd place. Despite her not-so-strong beginning Israel would be 4th meanwhile Brazil would close the Top 5. Spain, Venezuela (despite her rumored boycott), Mexico, surprising Slovak Republic and Namibia also caught the attention of the press, being in the Top 10 meanwhile girls from Dominican Republic, the attitude girls China & Italy, Puerto Rico and India would close up their Top 15. Peru, Ireland, Turkey, Czech Republic and Argentina are also there but still need to keep working, the press' opinion. It's surprising not seeing girls like Greece, Canada, Trinidad & Tobago, USA or even Colombia, who stood out in her arrival, but still this is just day one and the press need to think a little bit more their choices.

Tomorrow the contestants will have their National Costume Competition and more inside information will be shared with the people all around the world!

Postby MissSimUniverse » Fri May 29, 2020 2:04 pm

Well, in my opinion it's still too soon for the Simulator to predict, there's no way that Dominican Republic won't place in Top 10, she will climb in future predictions, I'm sure! Still, maybe she's the other girl who is also a little bitchy like China, if I had to I'd bet on her :%))

The first press' Top 5 is quite good anyway, although Japan is too high in my opinion. A Top 5 for her would be ok, Top 3 would be too much... although I know she can reach the Top 3, but her beauty is not my cup of tea. It's surprising to see Spain so high! I'm happy! I know she can do it well! But still I don't think she will reach the Top 10, if she evers makes it into Top 15 I think she will be eliminated in Swimsuit because her body is not at her best. Slovak Republic in Top 10 is a [-X for me, I mean, I know I have defended her a lot, and I wouldn't mind seeing her in Top 15 but not 10, that's too much! China in Top 15 is a big NO for me, not just because of her attitude but because I don't really like her face. Italy is a pleasant surprise for me and Puerto Rico and India... I don't love them. Puerto Rico's nose is soooo distracting and India's body is really bad, I don't think she'll score well in Prelims. I don't know what the hell is doing Ireland in Top 20, that girl looks like a 40-years-old, meanwhile the rest of the Top 20 (Peru, Turkey, Czech Republic & Argentina) could easily replace Slovak Republic, China, Puerto Rico & India in the Top 15 and make a great Top.

I'm missing Greece and Trinidad & Tobago so bad in this Top 20, I hope they improve!

What do u think, guys?

China is just a no. She always has to stick with Taiwan because she only speaks Mandarin and Taiwan does all the translating, so, China will easily get the boot.
Slovak Republic is nice, but her fashion taste is not my cup of tea to put it nicely.
Susie is also not my cup of tea, especially since that year, I think any of the others at Miss USA in the Top 5 would be better.
Crossing my fingers for Czech Republic and Peru, they could easily make it to the Top 10.
Greece was never really on my radar as she never really stood out from the batch.
Trinidad and Tobago, pageant-wise, she is great, but at the moment, she is underwhelming. Of course, in hindsight, she would turn out to be one of the best as she was the catalyst for their 4 year placement streak.

I want to clarify that I DON'T KNOW the results yet. I'm gonna watch the results day by day before posting it just like you, so I can make my comments and Miss Universe predictions unbiasedly. Probably I'll have to watch the Final Show results on Monday so I've time to prepare the graphics. I am actually enjoying this game, I'm feeling like Paula Shugart =;))

OMG, I got a new tag. Just noticed it now.

I really just want to be a member 'cause I want to stay low key in Misso, but I think I'm going to keep it for a while. I remember back then when my tag was changed to elite, I ask, if I can correctly remember, Earl to put back my tag to member. But now, my new tag will be here for a while.

I always choose my favorite costumes according to the relevance of the costume to the country. I abhor the costumes which are almost for cosplay purposes only or when some countries do a carnival costume even if they are not Brazil or Trinidad/Tobago.

1. Colombia
2. Korea (if I remember it right, this is the same costume that won in ME 2002 LOL) but a costume that is authentic
3. Ecuador
4. Norway (classic and authentic National Costume)
5. DR

Well, next week I'm gonna be working a lot so in order to prepare the Final Show I need to watch the whole results today! That's why I'm gonna share my final picks right now!

@};- MSU'S Miss Universe 2003 Final 15 @};-

15. NAMIBIA - Ndapewa Alfons
Image

I'm not sure if she will make the cut, I think she's on the edge but still I can't take her out of my Top 15. She's the best black delegate of the year in my opinion and her face is just so beautiful, she gives me Naomi Campbell vibes in some of her pictures. She's not a great performer so I don't think that, if she makes the Top 15, she will go any further but still I think she deserves so much to make the first cut.

14. ARGENTINA - Laura Romero
Image

This girl's face is just flawless and her performance during Preliminaries was very solid and surprising! I think she's the dark horse of the competition, at first nobody noticed her but soon her angelic beauty started to stand out. I still don't think her performance will be as strong as other girls but her Patri-Yure beauty deserves a spot in the Top 15.

13. TRINIDAD & TOBAGO -
Faye Alibocus
Image

She's a total hit or miss for me. She either can go unnoticed and be left behind clapping or go all the way to the Top 5. Her beauty is not my cup of tea but she's a performer. I'm sure that if she makes the Top 15 there's no way she'll be eliminated in the Swimsuit portion because her body is one of the best of the bunch but still it's so difficult for me to place her above other contestants, we'll see what happens...

12. GREECE - Marietta Chrousala
Image

She's so beautiful and angelic, probably one of the best faces of the competition, but she's too young and unexperienced. Just like T&T I think she can be a huge surprise during final show or being left behind. I hope she improves her performance during the Final Show and surprises everybody but I just don't see her making it further than a Top 15.

11. SPAIN - Eva Gonzalez
Image

My girl! I'm so proud of her and I honestly think she's one of the best faces of the bunch together with Brazil and Israel. I have high hopes on her and I know she can make it all the way to the Top 15. It's a pity that the first elimination during the Final Show is the Swimsuit Competition, because that's her Aquiles' heel. Her body is not at her best and she's more an elegant walker instead of a fierce performer. That's why I don't think she'll survive Swimsuit, but if she does absolutely anything can happen as her elegance can be a standout during Evening Gown!

10. COLOMBIA - Diana Mantilla
Image

So surprising for me to place this girl so high but she deserves it! She's been very consistent and truly deserves her spot. Her beauty is kinda average for me but she has the body and the runway skills to make it all the way to the Top 10. Her Evening Gown is pretty good but still I don't think that will be enough as the other girls in my Top 10 are stronger than her in the beauty department, in my opinion.

9. TURKEY - Ozge Ulusoy
Image

This girl is magnetic! I love her exotic yet angelic beauty! She has been a standout for me since the beginning. I just wish she uses the hairstyle she had during the photoshoot by the swimming pool instead of that tight hairstyle she used during Prelims that doesn't totally suit her. Anyway she's very beautiful and she CAN walk! She was a surprise during Prelims, I didn't expected her to walk that good! Her past as a dancer are paid off as she has a very good stage presence. Watch out for her, she can make it all the way to the Top 5, but for me I predict a Top 10 finish

8. JAPAN - Miyako Miyazaki
Image

The perfect proof that attitude and fierceness are more important than beauty. Miyako is a performer in her very own way, with her modelesque style. Her beauty is kinda average to me, I actually don't find her the most beautiful asian girl in the competition, but she's the fiercest. I still don't buy her style that much as I miss some smiling and a little bit less model and a little bit more beauty queen attitude, but still I won't understand a Top 15 without her.

7. SERBIA & MONTENEGRO - Sanja Papic
Image
The press' favorite so far is a Top 10 for me. She's definetely the best blonde and the best from Europe and could easily make it into the Top 5 but I just think there are a few girls who surprised me more than her. My problem with her is that sometimes I don't like her skin, which look too oily and makes her not look regal and polished. Still I think she can make it all the way and end up winning the crown, that's for sure. I actually wouldn't mind, but there are some girls I like more than her.

6. VENEZUELA - Mariangel Ruiz
Image

I just hope the rumours of boycott are not true because Mariangel deserves some attention. She has been sadly mistreated by the Miss Venezuela Organization and she's not the one who deserves to be penalized. She has given fierceness and looked exquisite although she's not facially the best of the bunch. I think a Top 5 for her is too much but I totally see her in Top 10 killing the runway as venezuelans use to do.

5. PERU -
Claudia Ortiz de Zevallos
Image

Ok, here is a surprise for me. I never expected placing Claudia this high but the more I've seen of her the more I've liked her! She's a true beauty with straight hair! I love her with that hairstyle and hate her with the wave-haistyle she's wearing in the headshot. Still I think she can be a huge surprise in the final show because she has the body, the runway skills and a decent gown. If there's a girl who can be a huge surprise this Wednesday I'd bet on her.

4. DOMINICAN REPUBLIC - Amelia Vega
Image

I know, risky choice to place her this low. I don't think she'll miss the Top 3 but still there are three girls who have become my sentimentals so I needed space for them. Amelia is every inch of the definition of a beauty queen. She's beautiful, tall, elegant, a natural performer and charismatic girl. I know she can win it all, but still there's some bitchiness in her attitude that I don't like for a Miss Universe titleholder. I also don't love her smile and facially I don't think she's among my Top 5 girls of the competition, but overall I know she's the whole package and won't be surprised to see her walking away with the Mikimoto crown.

3. ISRAEL - Sivan Klein
Image

Sivan's face is the definition of real beauty! That girl's face is EVERYTHING! I've missed a little bit more of personality, that's why I don't see her winning and probably why she would miss the Top 3 but still I think she deserves to stand in the stage until the very last minute. I hope she brings her A game this Wednesday night because if she does absolutely anything could happen!

2. BRAZIL - Gislaine Ferreira
Image

I know, she was my unbeatable number one, but it seems nobody is unbeatable. Gislaine's face is absolute perfection! Her green eyes are so magnetic and mesmerizing and I would die to see her wearing the Miss Universe crown. There's nothing wrong about her as she's also a great performer and her gown is ok (not great by the way, but good enough to make it into Top 5). So, why did she lose her 1st spot...? Well, just another girl climbed...

1. SOUTH AFRICA - Cindy Nell
Image

There she is, my new number one favorite to win. Facially I like Brazil more than I like Cindy honestly. But Cindy has that whole package and that effortless beauty that sometimes I don't see in Gislaine. Cindy is the perfect definition of a Miss Universe and, to this very moment, she's the girl I see the most with Miss Universe crown in her head. Let's jsut cross fingers and hope everything goes well on Wednesday. Anyway, if Gislaine and Cindy reach the Top 2 I wouldn't mind seeing any of them winning it all.

Bubbling Up: 16. Mexico / 17. Czech Republic / 18. Canada / 19. Panama / 20. USA / 21. Puerto Rico / 22. Italy
