I think that there is news that 1ru from 2019 may be allowed to compete in Miss Universe this year. If this is true, I don't think this is limited to just 1ru but that is a choice a country can make. This being said, I think we should just allow NDs to appoint a contestant and not based it on last year's performance given the following points (1) some countries have preselected their national contestants (2) a handful of countries have winners already (3) some countries have new franchise holders. MUO can just make the rules flexible for next year
Given that, I can expect MUO to actually cut cost (more) this year since things will be rushly planned and not a lot of companies can sponsor.
Im still hoping they can make it a good staging of the contest by ....
a. Tyler Perry studios but make the stage amazing
b. Improve then gloss of the competition (by sticking to reputable brands)- Stuart Weitzman shoes, Oscar Dela Renta swimsuit and Roberto Cavalli/ Tadashi opening dress
c. Authentic and Real Styling- gone are overly made girls; people want to see the real woman
d. Change advocacy- it is no longer about HIV/ Aids. Make the show for the benefit of Covid 19- research
