BACKSTAGE INTERVIEW | WINNERS | NO SAMANTHA

Postby Agua Maldita » Sun Jun 09, 2019 10:09 pm

The winners’ circle without Samantha Bernardo.

It is rumored Samantha was ballin, crying profusely and could not participate.

I couldn't blame Sam Bernardo if she were balling backstage for winning 2nd Runner-up again. On the other hand, if there's any consolation at all, then it's the fact that winning a runner-up spot is still a huge achievement considering that this edition was really a tight race to the finish that pageant fans were still divided about their bets even during finals night. I was so disappointed with Hannah Arnold's performance especially in her Q&A. If she returns to Binibini in the future, then I wish her good luck but I won't be a Hannahbee anymore because "crumbling like an expired cookie" on stage is an entirely different story and is so difficult to shake off that even hard-core trainers will find it extremely challenging to dislodge it from a candidate. Hannah Arnold's "crumbling" on stage was even worse than Rachel Peter's stage-fright at Miss World Philippines 2014. It was just so damn awful and embarrassing! If it were up to me, then I would like April Short and Maria Isabela Galeria to join again in one of the future editions of Binibini. I liked April Short's short hair because it made her look more beautiful than with a long straight hair. April's beauty reminded me of the young Margie Moran minus the hair bun. However, it was Libiran's gown that didn't give justice to April Short's statuesque and sultry figure. The disco lights in Libiran's gown were too distracting and the silhouette was too '80s-looking sans the shoulder pads. "Avoid Libiran at all cost next time, April!" Now that Libiran is already done with his grandma's doilies for design inspiration, he then shifts to disco lights ala-Dominican Republic at Miss Universe 2008. Expect Libiran to incorporate disco lights in his future designs both in evening gowns and national costumes! Galeria's red gown was so stunning that it looked really great on her. However, that same silhouette and colour were so 2017 as we had already seen it on Laura Leighman both at Miss World Philippines and Miss World. Mark Bumgarner needs to show the world that he isn't a one-note designer in his future designs. Aya's gown looked smashing on stage; thanks to Rene Salud's magnificent creation. All in all, I think it was a fair selection of winners. This is another strong group of winners that Binibini has had in years. "Congratulations, Binibinis!"

Rene Salud is already an icon in the fashion industry, in other words he is a legend. He was the original beauty queen maker. Long before all these camps and designers coming into existence there was already Pitoy Moreno and Rene Salud. That serpentine gown worn by Chat Silayan is just one of the many originals of Rene Salud. I don't know if many of you know that Leren Mae Bautista is also a Rene Salud protege. Rene is the designer of the NC of Leren Mae. If you're under Rene S you can never be wrong!

OMG! I thought the pageant is done and over bwahahahahaha is this Q&A post-pageant? Wow, only in the Philippines, you get to undergo a gruelling Q&A before and after the coronation night LOL
:!! :!! :!!

I don't blame Samantha Bernardo, I could just imagine after months and months of preparation and after all the enormous effort and sacrifice she endured all she got is just the same placement, SOOOO HURTING, CUTS LIKE A KNIFE am sure hahahaha now the big question is, will she try one last time just like Pia? and come back with a fiery vengeance? I would say GO GIRL GIVE IT ONE MORE TRY! Remember as what all you girls say, " NEVER GIVE UP ON YOUR DREAMS."

AGREE, Gazini needs to be trained more and exposed more to public speaking so she can hone her speaking ability. She has substance it is just the eloquence and the fluency that need harnessing and polishing. She already have the physical goods, it's just comm skills that need to be better and more spontaneous. Top 5 is well within reach for now. I won't comment yet on the B2B aim.

Well, better than Pia. Pia was 1st runner up then became Top 15 then won MUP. At least naka 2nd runner up siya twice. pero di ko talaga siya bet. Siguro sa mga minor pageants na lang.
