Because MUV 2019 will also be held in December. The MUV org won't be able to juggle between 2 big pageants at the same time haha that's virtually impossible. And thanks for the support, Hen and Cat really did THAT

Exciting! Anything can happen with IMG - as we saw from Cat's win 3 years after Pia's, Colombia and SA's almost back to back, and Colombia's 3-year Top 5 streak followed by a non-placement.

However, I'd keep a special eye out for the following 9 countries who are consistent placers since 2015:

I feel MUO is itching to crown Brazil... if Brazil sends a full package then I think there's a high chance of them winning. Brazil has not won since 1968, so if they win in 2019 it will be 51 years!

For those who are saying that Ph will host..well that's more impossible since we will host the 30th SEA GAMES! A lot from our budget and most importantly security will be put into it. I still want Vietnam to host Miss Universe

MANILA - The Miss Universe 2019 pageant will be held in South Korea, according to businessman and former Ilocos Sur Governor Luis "Chavit" Singson.

In an interview on DZMM, Singson said he helped the Miss Universe Organization secure the venue for next year's pageant.

"Dati na akong tumutulong kasi sa Miss Universe, mula noong ako'y nag-sponsor, taon-taon tumutulong ako sa kanila. Kaya sa Bangkok ginawa, nakatulong din ako. Saka next year, na-arrange ko na, sa South Korea, at sasama ang North Korea, kaya maganda ang exposure ni Catriona 'pag tinurn-over na, itu-turn over niya sa next Miss Universe, doon ko gagawin sa South Korea," Singson told DZMM Teleradyo.


Singson also said Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray will be leaving Thursday night for New York, and will be returning to the country for her official homecoming in January or February.

Gray, the Philippines’ fourth Miss Universe winner, arrived via Singson's private jet at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport and was swarmed by photographers and members of the media.

The crowd cheered as Gray waved to the crowd in a white suit.

She was accompanied by Miss Universe staff, Singson, and his daughter Richelle, who was one of the judges in the pageant.

I think MUO should get Japan to host! It would be great lead-in/tie-in for the 32nd Olympiad, and the country would already have many venues in place for MUO to choose from.
