Forgive me but after some time, I am posting under 'Entertainment, Movies & TV Shows' just to share why I'm bothered.
I am for freedom to voice out one's concerns, and the opportunity for those accused to be given a chance to explain themselves... BUT in the PROPER AVENUE.
Cliche as it may sound, 'a coin has two sides' as to a story has 'generally' two versions.
If there is one thing that I do not like about this age of social media... that is the fact that everyone, AS IN ANYONE (Like me), can simply point a finger at someone and try to get sympathy.
Some say that 'there's no smoke without fire', and though I agree.... the question is - is it a fire because of the issue you are talking about or a fire that you created on your own?
I rarely watch television nor read news (even check facebook), but when I do, I always make it a point to reserve my opinion when asked, especially when I do not have enough knowledge about it (and when I have not done my homework to understand each side).
Just today, I have been watching my usual go to channels in youtube when snippets of topics that I find unworthy to waste my time on came about... (Daryl Ong, Bryan Termulo etc.).
To be honest, I could care less about whatever channel goes off air (even foreign ones), they won't feed me or my family, but yes I care about the people who will lose their source of income (especially their family).
More than the issues that suddenly flooded my feed, what struck my chord was seeing the comments by people who are either pro or anti.
This world is becoming less and less civil, issues are now being judged on the court of public opinion - which scares me.
Is it not possible for us to take our time and resolve things by not arguing and throwing dirt on others?
My apology for sharing my thoughts here (and if they are not as cohesive, because I tried to type all my thoughts as I go without editing), as I feel like this place is more of a safer space than facebook, twitter, instagram, youtube, or any other platform.
But again, as I said, I'm bothered seeing and hearing about these things through the various media platform, and it is fueling my clinical depression... and sorry if I took some space which is not pageant related.
Thanks guys and hope you all keep safe
