Miss Universe, Miss World, Miss Earth, Miss International, Miss Intercontinental, Miss Asia Pacific International, Miss Tourism International, Miss Eco International and Miss Multinational
Despite the gaffes in the immediate couple of days, the SEA 2019 opening ceremony highlighted the organizational talent of the Filipino. Addendum: A couple of those so-called "shortcomings" were dismissed as fake reporting anyways.
Benchtel1978 you gave me a minus for stating the facts. Are you happy now after a successful staging of the opening ceremonies? Or, are you still in a denial mode.

This is one thing that the rest of the ASEAN or even ASIAN or even OLYMPIC host nations can NOT do to PARADE their INTERNATIONAL BEAUTY QUEENS because majority of them DO NOT EVEN HAVE INTERNATIONAL QUEENS to begin with. In the ASEAN region only Philippines has a SURPLUS of INTERNATIONAL BEAUTY QUEENS.
It's a pity that NONE of these queens was given the close-up shot that they deserved
And how come the scriptwriters did not bother writing anything for annotations and spiels during the parade? No information was given about each country, even a brief history of these countries achievements at the Games. They did not also honor those flag bearers and our beauty queens even with a brief introduction to make the public know who they are.
Hello, other than beauty pageant enthusiasts who else are aware that those girls are in fact beauty queens?

This is the parade of athletes not parade of beauty queens. I think it is enough screen time for these queens but I think more acknowledgement like putting their names on screen.
11 lang po kasi ang bansa sa SEA Games, masyado na daw kasing maraming beauty queens ang Pilipinas na nanalo internationally. Mas marami pa kaysa sa bilang ng mga bansa sa Southeast Asia. Hehe!
Maturity doesn't mean age; it means sensitivity, manners, and how you react. It comes when you stop making excuses and start making changes.

but watching the singapore coverage, the female commentator did in fact mentioned jamie herrell being the muse of team singapore
"In pageant world full of Megan Young and Pia Wurtzbach, all we need is a Dayana Mendoza."

That sounds like a risky proposition. Expense items may come out staggering which is beyond the affordability of whoever will sponsor the event. Air-conditioning cost alone for an area that size makes the idea non-feasible. Unless the floor space is partitioned to accommodate a smaller crowd which the Arena has been configured during construction as when the need arises.
It couldn't have been better if they close up and their names were announced as well as the prestigious pageant they've won, sad but they didn't do it.

PS: Dami akong nakitang kumukudang kapitbahay na feeling pageant powerhouse na kesyo boring daw yung opening ceremony. Mas okay pa daw yung sa 2018 Asian Games opening nila. Di kasi keribels ng kapitbahay na yun na mag-appoint ng muse kada bansa kahit for ASEAN lang since kakarampot lang international titleholder nila. Charing!
